Symantec to acquire Altiris

Symantec just announced that they’ll buy Utah based software maker Altiris for $830 million in cash. The full press release can be found here.

    No. Not a hack at all. You have installed a program that required .NET 3.0 installed also (in order for it to run). The packager used for programs that REQUIRE .NET 3.0 ALSO include MSI calls for .NET 3 to be downloaded and installed in the background - you can NOT get away from this. .NET 3 is REQUIRED for programs that need to run with it being installed.
